Prepping for Camp

Summer is nearly here! And a lot has been happening getting Camp Ortoha ready for its 2023 campers.

First off, a big THANK YOU to the great group of volunteers who helped clean up the buildings and grounds on May 20th. We were able to check all the usual pre-season prep boxes.

There are still two special projects we hope to gather volunteers for, however, but these projects will need to be scheduled for later in the year. The first is an upgrade to the men's side of the shower building. The second is an upgrade to our Mess Hall kitchen floor. If you have any interest or expertise in these areas, please let us know!

Kicking off this month, we've also been busy planning camper meals and counselor training sessions, and purchasing supplies. This year we'll be replacing some mattresses, purchasing new fans, and bringing new Ortoha merchandise up to widen the selection of camp gear for sale.

There is still an opportunity to sign up for baking cookies for our campers so please contact us if you have an interest. We love providing our youngsters with delicious, homemade treats!

We also always like to extend a request for prayer cover - not only during camp, but the weeks leading up to it, and following it. Please add the dates of camp to your calendar as a reminder to lift our 2023 staff and campers up in prayer.

Thank you all so much for checking in and following our updates. Registration is now open so please help us spread the word to those families looking for camper opportunities this summer.
