It’s finally here! Camp starts in just a few days! We have some exciting updates to share about what is in store.
First, let’s start with some numbers. As of our last count, we are expecting a total of 36 campers for Junior Week! That is comprised of 19 girls and 17 boys. The counselors responsible for supervising all these youngsters will be up at camp this weekend prepping the program details and putting in some extra training.
But don’t worry! There is still room for more campers. Just contact us, or send a message via Facebook to let us know the name and age of your camper.
Next up - gear! We’ve ordered some new merchandise this year and we can’t wait to show it off. The latest swag will be in dark green, featuring the throwback “big gong” logo style. We’ll have t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and beanies to choose from. One quick reminder, though! Since wifi isn’t available at camp, you’ll need to plan ahead and bring some cash or a check in order to make a purchase.
Another exciting note is that our campers will be enjoying some wonderful new supplies this year. Camp Ortoha invested in nine new mattresses and more box fans. But beyond that, we have been blessed by local churches and individuals who donated student Bibles to share with our campers! This means we’ll be able to send campers home with their own personal Bible at the close of camp. Hooray!
We hope you’ll consider praying over our staff this weekend as they train and prepare, as well as the entire camp throughout the coming two weeks. We can’t wait to see what God has planned, and we are eager to share the love of Jesus with these wonderful kids.
